We are thrilled that you are thinking about applying to Sacred Heart Academy!
Each day, our Admissions team works closely with future SHA students and parents in their journey to find the right high school. Our students come from Amityville to Williston Park, Atlantic Beach to West Hampton, Jamaica Estates to Whitestone, Garden City to Port Washington and more. But they all have one thing in common: Finding an academic community WHERE GIRLS LEAD.
Young women who are interested in a spiritually based, rigorously challenging academic curriculum will find numerous opportunities to get involved, lead, and succeed at Sacred Heart.
Consider what we offer our students:
A Catholic, faith-based educational experience rooted in the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Gospel of Jesus to live with unity, reconciliation and in God’s inclusive love.

At Sacred Heart Academy we recognize that there are many factors that parents and their daughters need to consider when selecting the right high school:
We also recognize that this is an important investment in your daughter’s future and may require families to carefully consider their finances.
How can you afford to pay for a Sacred Heart Academy education?
In the words of Umberto Mignardi, Parent '18, '23: “How can you afford not to?”
SHA enrolls and graduates a highly capable and diverse student body each year. We strive to make the SHA experience as affordable as possible for as many as possible by managing tuition costs. We are also committed to attracting and retaining the most talented student scholars.
To support these commitments, SHA is proud to offer a balance of various merit and need-based scholarship opportunities.
SHA offers our Joseph and Cathedral Scholarships based on a proven academic record on the TACHS Exam, report cards for 6th-8th grade and only to students who have placed Sacred Heart Academy (Code 695) as their first place choice on the TACHS Exam.
There is no scholarship exam or application and notification of scholarship award is given at the time of acceptance to SHA.
Please note students awarded a merit-based scholarship are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 85 each year for four years.
The Dear Neighbor Scholarship is a full tuition need-based scholarship awarded to an incoming 9th grade student with preference to a young woman with demonstrated financial need and who also displays a desire, along with the academic ability, to succeed and become a contributing member of the Sacred Heart community.

The scholarship is renewable for all four years provided the student maintains a weighted grade point average of 85% or higher, maintains honor roll status each year, and is an active participant in the school community.
