Congratulations to another Outstanding AP Capstone Cohort

Meeting every other day, undermined by Covid shutdowns, introduced to radically new technology... To say the girls bonded would be a huge understatement. Steeled by adversity, the Class of 2024 research girls laughed at the sort of adversity that crushed peers at other schools. (OK, there was some fleeting anxiety.) But temporary angst was always followed by greater resolve, and ultimately by brilliant, creative work - across the breadth of the life, physical and behavioral sciences.

The "SHA sisterhood" paradigm was consistently on display. Seniors mentored juniors. Juniors supported sophomores. Sophomores edited First-Years' work. "This is what to expect… Here's what you need to do... It’s OK. We’ve got your back.”

According to the College Board:
AP Seminar is a foundational course in which students explore the complexities of academic and real-world issues; ther course focuses on developing students' ability to dissect the arguments of others and to develop and present their own arguments in written and oral forms.
AP Research requires students to deeply explore an academic topic, problem, issue, or idea of individual interest; in Year 2, students must create new knowledge through original research or experimentation, addressing a gap in the scholarly literature.

Here is a list of the remarkable young women who have set a very high bar for the Class of 2024 and others to follow:
